Best glaze I've ever seen
July 10, 2019
Look at the pictures. Seeing is believing. I've seen several arguments back and forth regarding glazes. Some people hate them, saying it doesnt correct paint, just hides the imperfections and swirls. They are not wrong. But, unless your car is a garage queen that hardly ever has anything touch the paint...swirls and scratches are inevitable. Some paints hide them better. Dark colors are completely unforgiving. Black shows scratches if you breathe on it too hard. Are you going to perform a paint correction on your black car every month? Every 3 months? How long before you don't have any clear coat left? That's where glazes come in. They are non abrasive, gentle on paint, some like poorboys can clean the paint, they fill in medium to light swirls, and add a lot of gloss. In short, they can give the appearance of correct paint. They are also very easy to apply and in the case of Blackhole, can be done by hand. Blackhole is the best filling glaze I've ever seen, even by hand. But with used with a a dual action and a foam/microfiber pad....wow. If you want to make it last, poorboys is compatible with sealants and I top it with Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant. The result is a black that is miles deep and blinding gloss.
ProsInexpensive Easy to use Fantastic filling properties Great depth and gloss

My go to glaze
June 24, 2018
Really great glaze to knock those light swirl marks down or skipping a polish. Hand or machine, I prefer hand myself, it can get kinda sticky when it gets too thin on the product. I've used a 16 oz on my truck with about 6 applications, so it goes a long way. I don't order the larger size because I only use about three times a year when I do a detailed protection. Top it off with a carnauba wax for that warm glow, then a synthetic sealant for a longer durable coating.
ProsEasily spread product Hand or machine Darkens the paint easy off product
Consmight need more elbow power to spread not durable Can be used in sun, in Texas summer that is a no

Good product, must admit have not given it a good try, I am still learning but the couple of times I have used it, it does cover swirls and light scratches. I think as I get better at applying it I might get better results.
ProsSmells great, easy application.
ConsHaven't gotten technique down just yet.
Yes, it really works

I'm impressed with this product. One of my cars is "Root Bear Metallic" and the other is black. This product is great on both of them. I use it after a very light swirl remover and follow up with a hard wax.
ProsEasy to use, works great, not too expensive; i.e. perfect.
ConsIt smells like some kind of tropical fruit. I expected it to smell like fish. Perhaps they were thinking about Steven Hawking rather than Nicki Minaj when they named this product.
Black Paint's Best Friend
October 2, 2014
This is an excellent product. I have tried the 3M machine glaze for dark vehicles and there is no comparison. Black Hole is so much easier to work with and produces an order-of-magnitude better result. Used it on a new black 4Runner that the dealer must have put through a rubber paddle wash. It hid the fine swirl marks extremely well, making the paint look very wet and new.
ProsRewarding! Brilliant Black results Nice smell Reasonably priced
ConsNot a polish so swirls will eventually reappear.
Black hole is a winner

This is by far the most effective glaze I have Tried. Works wonders on my BMW. Outstanding at removing minor imperfections on the paint surface. Excellent price point. Ships same day in most cases.

This is one of the better glaze's I've used to date. It hides swirls well, and the overall appearance is great. Unfortunately, I don't have a dark-colored car anymore. Otherwise, I would still use this all the time!

Great on my Envious Solstice! Easy on and off application and the grape(?) scent is a conversation starter. My son's metallic red GP REALLY glowed with this stuff.
Hides minor swirls
November 20, 2011
This glaze does a nice job of hiding minor swirls and adding depth to the paint. It has a thick consistency, so it takes a lot of effort to apply by hand. Recommend using a DA machine for the job. Also, if you're not careful, it will leave behind a chalky residue in cracks and crevices.
Too lazy to polish?
May 18, 2011
then this glaze is for you. I applied it with a black pad and DA then topped with natty blue. Nice deep shine. have yet to try out tip from the forum where you let the PBBH haze but don't wipe it off. Instead, apply your natty's blue right on top, let it haze, then wipe everything off together. Can't wait to try it out.

I almost decided to skip the Black Hole Glaze step after polishing, but tried it on a small section. Wow, it really deepened the black on my Acura MDX! Needless to say I finished the whole car with it (applied with PC) before sealing with EX-P. This is amazing stuff!

EASY TO USE AND THE FINISH IS SOFT AND SMOOTH. WORTH EVERY PENNY. I FEEL SORRY FOR THE COMPETITION...THE SHINE SAYS IT ALL
August 22, 2008
Its a good glaze works good for removing flaws. It works best when used by machine or at least a polishing pal, but is ok by hand

I have a few dealer ships that I detail for. I was having a hard time with wax's and seal's showing back up on dark color cars. I tried a small sample of The black hole. The Stuff is f-ing awsome. Can be used on red cars and any dark car. Thanks, James Guy
