They're doing a good job reducing orange peel
July 17, 2016
So far they're doing a good job reducing the orange peel on my car. The more practice I can do will eventually remove even more bumpy clear coat. I've been using the denim pads in conjuncture with Meguiars M 105.
ConsI'd like for the pads and compound to cut even harder. This is not the pad's fault.
Excellent product

The denim pads were used with compound that c it down significantly on the orange peel on my car.
ProsCuts good
ConsIf too much compound is used the pads will get caked up.

Used with a rotary buffer and Meguiars 100. Excellent results and I am a novice at buffing auto paint, first time with a buffer. Very easy to use both products mentioned.
ProsEase of use and performs as stated.

Best tool in the box

I recently purchased these pads. First I tried them out on the hood of my Black 2000 Ford Expedition. This truck saw its first year in a garage and then 13 years in the sun with a yearly wax. Tons of abuse. I was so pleased with the results. On my Ford I used Megs M105. A few days later I worked on a Mercedes. This car was a 2008 that only had a few swirls and an owner that all good cars should have. I can die and I doubt I will ever get a better customer who shows more respect for his car and the people who work on them. He had some paint chips that could have been done better, and factory plastic film by the rear wheels that looked real bad. I took the 3†pad with my DeWALT and RUPES Zephir Gloss Coarse Compound. The results were GREAT. I would have loved to have done the whole car with these pads and the DeWALT, however I don’t think my client’s heart could have taken it. The site of the rotary caused him much concern. He had seen rookie detailer’s damage before. This was our first meeting, and I am hoping he will let me go over the whole car again with the goal of removing the orange peel and coating it with Modesta BC-04. The following day I worked on a Honda that had been wrecked. The front clip had been replaced. The paint had been done outside. I think the only time the car had seen a garage is when it was driven by one. The deck lid was dull, the roof was dull. The new front clip was full of nibs. Seven hours later this car look fantastic, beyond what I thought I could achieve. This time I used Megs D300 followed up with D301 and Megs Microfiber polishing pads. In summation if you have not tried these pads you need to. If you lack the experience then go the junk yard get some hoods and restore them. Please remember to speak AutoGeek.

was skeptical at first.
July 6, 2014
Was skeptical at first. But decided to try it out and to my amaze it really worked and didn't mare or scratch the surface like wet sanding does and actually helps save time. Really worked great and will continue to buy this product because of how well it works. Thanks.
ProsWorks great
Cons The only thing bad i can say is that i Wish it came in bigger sizes. Other then that no problems.

Using the 5" backing plate with the 5.25" denim polishing pads and Meguiars M100 compound to remove some heavy orange peel. It is very very slow but effective. Would recommend purchasing the 3" backing plate and 3" denim pads as well for smaller areas. Will probably watch the videos here on Autogeek again to see if I am missing some details that might speed up the process.
