Works fine, expensive

Product works fine, saying that it doesn't go far. I will probably offer it as an option on new car prep packages but for restoration of daily drivers and a permanent fix of faded oxidized plastic , I'll stick to Rustoleum wipe new.

Product does exactly what it says it will do. Absolutely restored my plastic cladding to like-new condition quickly and easily. It's honestly like nothing I've ever used. I have a vintage Mercedes with matte lower cladding, and it was fading and looking chalky. This is a painted plastic surface, mind you. I was going to have it repainted to the tune of $2000, but figured I'd try this stuff first, just to see if it made any difference. Best $30 I ever spent. After thoroughly cleaning the surface with Windex and then isopropyl alcohol, I applied a thin coat of the product, let it sit for about two or three minutes, then wiped it with a microfiber. Car has never looked better. Literally looks like it could be a fresh paint job. My only regret is that I didn't do this sooner.
ProsWorks exactly as advertised.

I have two clients with lots of plastic on there cars!! One is a Raptor, another is a Tacoma. Brand new cars so we were not really restoring per-say more so protecting. This product is a little pricey but very effective and well worth its cost. Easy to use although the second time I ordered I made sure I had more flat cotton applicators (as I think you only get 3 per order). Didn't need to worry about prepping the fact that the cars were new. I gave it a good hand wash and air compressed it dry and I was good to go. In some of the more intricate ridge areas of plastic i need to go back and re-apply for better coverage. I purposely waited a few months to review this product as I did it in the summer so I can judge the longevity of the product. And after a few months in the hot arizona sun and with regular washes each car still looks great!! It gives it a fresh look not a smearey gunky build up like you would get from a street corner car wash. I am a professional detailer out here in arizona and the products I use have to be good and last. this product from gtechniq certainly lives up to the challenge.
Prosease of use. awesome longevity of finish
Conskinda pricey

Works great

I used this on all of the exterior trim and window molding on a 2007 Civic. The trim was extremely faded and milky white in spots, but this stuff brought the life right back into it. I cleaned everything off with a 1:10 Chemical Guys APC wash, then scrubbed all of the trim and molding with either a soft toothbrush or mother's hard bristle detail brush, depending on which piece of the trim I was working on. I scrubbed it very well to ensure all previous oils, etc. were gone then I washed the pieces again with some Adam's exterior wash. I finished by wiping it all down with Panel Wipe and began the application of C4. Make sure you dont douse the pad, as a little bit of this stuff goes a long way. Additionally, if you use too much try to level it out and spread it with the same pad you are using so you dont have to buff too much with a separate microfiber towel. It seems a lot of the people who have issues with this product over apply it, then try to buff off the extra but dont leave enough of the product on to actually do anything. Spread it evenly and lightly so you cover everything, give it a few seconds to set, then very lightly wipe it with a clean microfiber to make sure you even out the look and get rid of the extra that may cause high spots. If you do this, it will last. I'm already on month 6 of this application and it's going strong.

Looks great going on but not very durable

I have heard that this is relabeled C1. Regardless, I applied this to all my exterior trim. The trim was 6 months old and I was applying it more for mild restoration and to have a durable coating on the trim. I followed the instructions. The temperature was appropriate. I cleaned the trim during a wash, then used 1:4 Meguiars APC to remove prior residues and then Gtechniq Panel Wipe to make sure all residues were gone. I then applied the trim restorer. It was easy to apply and easy to buff. After application, my trim looked fantastic, and it looked great for a few months until winter came. I guess the constant battering with cold water, salt, sand, snow and grime really beat down the coating, because it didn't last. I suppose I could blame my lack of washing for this, as I went to a touchless car wash once per month; however, my other Gtechniq products stood up well when compared to this one.
ProsEasy to apply. Looks great after application.
ConsWas not durable for me, which makes the product seem like it is not worth the price or effort. I got as much life out of this product as I did for other trim products.

First I was disappointed with the quantity. Not being to familiar with small quantities of metric measure I expected more than a few thimble fulls of product. This amount just barely covered the plastic bed rails on my Dodge truck. It leaves a very fragile finish. just barely touching it scratches it. It's been on my truck for 2-3 months now and seams to be keeping the plastic black but is just to fragile of a finish to be worth anything to me. I would not recommend it to anyone that plans to actually use their vehicle.
