Decent kit for the money.

My son was complaining about the visibility through the window's of his car. It's a 2004 Chevy Malibu and a first car. I washed the windows with Chemical Guys Mr. Pink, then followed with Chemical Guys gray clay bar and lube to remove contaminants, and lastly with McKee's Krystal Vision glass cleaner. I then used the Lake Country rayon pads with the CeriGlass compound and water mist to keep the abrasives moving with my Flex 3401. This will not remove deep scratches (as I expected), but it did remove 14 years of wear and weathering, along with some sand etching on the windows. I then applied the Pinnacle Glass Sealant as directed. No more visibility problems.
Ok, but not Great

I bought this kit for the purpose of polishing out slight windshield wiper scratches on the passenger side of a 1993 BMW 325 with ~130k mile, and what appeared to be slight random scratches in a 2013 Audi A4 that were probably caused by poor washing habits or wiping a dusty windshield with a dry cloth. I tried using the products as directed by the manufacturer, using a battery powered drill, and a small "Off" brand pump spray atomizer bottle filled with water to keep the compound wet. I found it difficult and hard on the wrists to hold the pad properly on the windshield and move it as instructed. A drill or buffer with an angle drive would be much easier on the wrists and much easier to control. I succeeded in significantly reducing the windshield wiper scratch pattern on the BMW which fortunately for me was located such that I could more easily reach and control the power drill during buffing. But on the Audi, it appeared that I created as many scratches as I removed, and do not understand why or how that could have occurred since I thoroughly pre-cleaned its windshield with soap and water, then alcohol and water solution multiple times prior to using this kit. After buffing the scratches, and again thoroughly cleaning the windshield[s] with water/alcohol, I applied the glass sealant as per the directions. Twice. When I later drove these cars in rain, I was not impressed. Rain-X has worked much better for me, and that was without previously polishing/buffing and washing the windshields with water/alcohol solution. The Glass Sealant is not worth its price. Also, anyone having a vehicle with a rain sensing wiper system should be cautious when using any of these glass sealant/water repellent products. They may interfere with the rain sensing system. Audi specifically warns against their use in its owner's manuals, but they did not seem to interfere when applied to my car's windshield. Nor did Rain-Ex.
ProsSomewhat effective at removing minor windshield scratches, e.g. from wipers.
ConsHard to use as directed, unless you have an angle drive power drill or buffer.

So, I had a great idea to use a green scouring pad on the windshield of my 2013 F-150. I had an oily residue on my windshield that would not come off. I tested a little spot before I did the whole windshield.Glad I tested a small area.I scratched the heck out of it. Now i was faced with a worse issue. Scratches!! I went to a detail dealer and several auto parts store to see if I could find something to take the scratches out. No one seemed to know what would work. I came across this site and typed in scratch repair. Glad I did. I ordered the glass repair kit on a Friday night and got the kit on Wednesday. The directions were easy to read and follow. After a couple of applications. Bam!! No more scratches. Not only did it take my scratches out, it removed the residue I originally tried to take off. I would highly recommend this product to other highly intelligent numskulls like me with great ideas.
ProsThis kit does what it is supposed to do.
I Can See Clearly Now

The kit came as expected. I went right to work on my heavily stained windows that took years of abuse from hard water being sprinkled from a lawn sprinkler system. I first tried vinegar and then CLR with no results. This product cleaned the windows very well. The only recommendation is to use a little water from a spray bottle to helped the cleaning process move along. Otherwise the polishing compound dries up too quickly. Just be sure to use the other liquid to protect the now clean glass, or you'll be doing it again.
ProsCleans the glass very well.
ConsThe polishing compound dries quickly as you polish.

the glass repair kit was adequate for minor cleanup of the wind shield glass. used the griots random orbital buffer w/ 3" wheel at speed 4-5. did not fully remove (about 50%) the arc shaped scratch (from miss aligned wiper blade which left a 1/8" dull scratch)

I recently purchased this kit to remove the scratches out of my windshield. My windshield was in pretty bad shape. I just wish I would have purchased more leveling pads. Other than that the product worked just as described. People said my windshield looked a 100% better. Thanks again for the great product.

My 1986 Nissan 300ZX sat in the hot AZ sun for 24 years, leaving the glass opaque with oxidation and mineral deposits. To replace the glass would have cost me many hundreds of dollars; some pieces are no longer available. The Diamondite Glass Repair System Kit worked as promised; my windows look brand new. (Given the extreme oxidation on my windows, I had to purchase two kits and repeat the application process multiple times).

Not worth the money

I purchased this product to remove some scratches that my wife had on her windshield and passenger windows. The product arrived very quickly from AutoGeek.net and I was pleased with the shipping speed, however the product didn't work as described by the manufacturer and surely did not produce results that were shown in the demonstrative photographs. This product did not diminish any scratches on the glass let alone remove them.
