It worked Fine
April 15, 2020
Although the clay worked fine, the Clay lubricant does not wipe off as easily as I would like. The shine if fine after it is wiped off. I will say that I prefer using the Griot's Garage Clay bar when used with their Speed Shine. It works as well and wipes off faster.
ProsWorks fine and shines nicely
ConsAfter rubbing the clay over the surface, the left over Blackfire Clay Lubricant takes too long to wipe off.

First clay in general. I have never used clay to clean a car and was a bit skeptical. I washed my 2016 Avalon that is always garaged at home and parked indoors at work, and the paint felt pretty smooth. I decided to try the clay on the relatively small trunk to see what it was like to use and to see what the results were like. Well, the paint was amazing after using it. I couldn't stop and ended up claying the whole car! The Blackfire combo in particular - I like it. Nice to get everything you need at once, especially if you are new to using clay products. The clay has a slightly tacky consistency and never felt like it would slip out of my hand.

I bought this as a kit. It is a little pricey but You pay for the quality. The cheap stuff doesn't work as well and You usually have to work harder with it. The stuff works really good. I cleaned up a car that didn't get a good washing for a long time. In the sun, rain, snow for probably 6 years. This product made a big difference. The clay bar was pretty nasty after, but did it's job. Used the paint cleaner and wow what an improvement it did to the paint. By the way the color of this 1995 car is a very deep dark red and it looks close to brand new. Needs a little more TLC but has come along way using this product.
ConsProduct a little pricey, but good stuff

What a combo!

Used the lubricant and Poly clay. Used lots of lube, was totally slick and clay left no residue on truck. Wiped off easily with a waffle weave towel. Clay picked up lots of stuff, but left no scratches/marring. Kneaded bar after every section, Used cleaner after. Everything works a s advertised. Impressed.
Great Products and Great Value

I have used this kit for multiple vehicles, and each product meets or exceeds my expectations. The clay is good quality and not aggressive enough to leave behind scratches during proper use with the included lubricant. The clay cleaner and extender works very well, leaving you with virtually brand new clay after use. That product can extend the useful life of your clay if there aren't large embedded contaminants. The included microfibers are also very high quality and truly make this kit a bargain. My only issue with the kit was that my bottle of clay cleaner and extender somehow "bubbled" out of the sprayer while being stored in a climate controlled closet. I assume this was a random and isolated occurrence, but I was not able to get full use of the bottle because of it.
Pros-Great value -High quality fine clay -Lubricant works well and has long working time -Cleaner and extender leaves clay like new
Cons-Cleaner and extender leaked out of bottle while in storage

First Rate Claying Kit
April 24, 2015
So far I have used this kit on all three of my cars and I am very pleased with ease of use and the results. I believe that the microfiber towels are either Cobra Supreme or towels that very closely resemble them. They are just the right size for a claying job and are very plush. Using them, I am not worried about leaving light scratches on the paint surface. The clay is great and very easy to work with and need into any shape that you are comfortable with. I have never used Blackfire products before, but I would not hesitate to use them again. I was most impressed with the Blackfire Cleaner Extender. Following the directions, spray it on the clay, rub it between your hands and then wash it off with water. If you follow those simple directions, you will actually see the dirt that was removed from your paint, suspended in the cleaner liquid which is lying on the clay. When you was it off with plain water, you are now looking at what a new piece of clay would look like. The only dirt that you see on the clay are a few small pieces of dirt. I would have to say the at least 90 - 95% of the dirt is gone. I don't know how this cleaner works and I don't care, as long as it removes the dirt.
ProsI think that everything in the kit is first rate.
